CAUTION! Deer are on the move. With shorter and colder days ahead comes fall mating season of the whitetail deer. Kentucky reported 3086 deer collisions last year with an average claim of $4,341.    Here are a few tips to help protect you against a deer hit.

1. Use your seat belt

2. Be observant

3. Have others in the vehicle looking out

4. Avoid peak activity times. Early morning and Sunset.

5. Don't swerve
